Title

How do Energy Drinks Effect Your Heart Rate?

Problem Scenario

Broad Question

How do energy drinks effect your heart rate?

Specific Question

How much does heart rate change after drinking one serving of Monster Energy.

Hypothesis

I think the heart rate will increase 5 bpm. I think this, because they will be sitting down,
not exercising. So their heart rate won't increase, because of exercise.

Data Analysis

Conclusion

My question was, How does Monster effect your heart rate? I hooked up a heart rate monitor to a test subject, and measured their heart rate after drinking the monster. The independent variable was the Monster, and the dependent was the heart rate. The heart rate goes up, and then goes down a little, and stays neutral.

Discussion

The question was How does Monster affect your heart rate. It was answered, and the answer is it went up for a little. The heart rates showed the answer.
The hypothesis was supported by the results. The heart rate goes up and then goes down a little, and stays.
A pattern is that the heart rates went up about 10 bpm after 2 minutes of drinking the monster. A strong cause and effect was shown, with the heart rate going up after the consumption of monster.
There weren’t any problems during the procedure.
I used a heart rate monitor, convert oz to ml, for the measurement of monster. I would say to be ready for when you test, because it is easier to test while being ready.
I learned that this gives the heart an unhealthy higher heart rate. This isn’t a breakthrough or anything.
